The Kasbah overlooks the reflecting pool, with lush gardens on both sides and a Moroccan star fountain in the foreground at XOHH Events in the Hollywood Hills.
A production day fills up quickly when every new scene means a new address. A filming location with several distinct settings gives crews more visual variety while reducing time spent packing, traveling and setting up again.
At XOHH Events, our approximately two-acre Hollywood Hills property brings together Moroccan-inspired architecture, lush gardens, residential interiors and open hillside views. Minutes from Universal Studios and close to studios in Los Angeles and Burbank, it offers different settings for different stories—all within one location.
One Booking, Several Different Stories
One production we hosted shows how this can work. The team was creating promotional content for several brands with products sold on Amazon, and each product needed its own setting.
In the driveway, they filmed a student preparing to leave for college, receiving an Amazon delivery, saying goodbye to her parents and driving away. Meanwhile, other crew members filmed product content in the backyard, Grand Salon and on an upper deck.
The team used different parts of the property to give each product its own setting—all during the same booking.
Different Looks Around Every Corner
The variety begins before you even reach the house. Our long, private, open driveway has a countryside feel, creating the impression of being far from the city while still in the Hollywood Hills. It leads into a secluded private motor court, where sculptural succulents and palms add another distinct backdrop. These spaces offer possibilities for driving sequences, arrivals, departures and residential scenes.
Behind the house, the atmosphere becomes lush and intimate. Carefully tended gardens bring together the romance of European estates and the Moorish beauty of the Alhambra, with graceful palms, a reflecting pool and the distinctive arches of the Kasbah.
Each space offers something different:
Kasbah: Tall arches, a blue dome and a chandelier create a distinctive backdrop for interviews, performance scenes and music videos.
Fountain Courtyard and garden fountains: Several water fountains, each with its own design and surrounding landscaping, provide different looks for conversation scenes, lifestyle content and product close-ups.
Pool and gardens: Reflections, layered greenery and varied camera angles lend themselves to leisbeauty and outdoor lifestyle stories.
Citrus Lawn: A brighter, more open garden setting offers possibilities for sunny daytime scenes and relaxed product demonstrations.
Grand Salon: Formal seating, a fireplace and Persian rugs provide a residential interior with a different mood from the gardens.
Apartment Suite: A living area, kitchenette, bedroom area and full bathroom offer another residential setting, or a separate space for talent preparation, wardrobe and makeup.
Upper Decks: Elevated city and hillside views create an outdoor residential look distinct from the garden level.
Vista Grove: This secluded hilltop area has a natural, open character. Mature California pepper trees form a canopy on one side, while olive trees line the other. Hanging Moroccan lanterns and views toward the city, Hollywood Hills and Mulholland give it a feeling all its own.
These are starting points for a creative team. We love seeing how productions bring their own vision to familiar spaces through styling, framing and a fresh camera angle.
Access to individual spaces, including the Apartment Suite bedroom area, must be arranged in advance and confirmed in the location agreement.
Fewer Company Moves, More Time to Film
Moving a production from one location to another—a company move—involves more than the drive. Equipment needs to be packed, vehicles moved and everyone ready to begin again at the next address.
When several scenes can be filmed at one property, crews can spend more of the day working through their shot list. A new setting might mean moving from the garden to the Grand Salon, or from the driveway to an upper deck.
Equipment still needs to move between setups, so routes should be reviewed during a scout. With advance approval, equipment can remain staged in a designated area while filming continues elsewhere. The staging area and the time it is used must be covered by the booking.
Depending on the setups, different teams may also work simultaneously. One team might prepare the next scene while another films, with talent getting ready in the Apartment Suite. Sound, access and shared pathways need to be coordinated to keep the day running smoothly.
Let the Light Add Another Look
The same space can feel very different from morning to evening.
Mature trees provide shaded garden settings, while the Citrus Lawn, front grounds, upper decks and exposed hillside areas offer brighter possibilities for daytime filming. A scout at the intended filming time helps the team see how the light works for their scenes.
As daylight fades, Moroccan lanterns and landscape lighting reveal another side of the property. Uplighting highlights trees and architectural details, while soft downlighting from the canopy adds depth and warmth to the gardens.
That evening atmosphere can bring a new mood to the same setting. Productions should assess any additional lighting needed for their shots.
Tell Us What Your Production Needs
Every shoot starts with a different vision. Share the looks you want to create, your number of scenes or setups, total cast and crew count, and equipment and preparation needs.
Let us know how much setup and breakdown time you need, whether you want landscape lighting on or off, and whether fountains should be running or turned off for sound recording. If you plan to film along the driveway or in the motor court, we can also discuss how to coordinate those scenes with arrivals and equipment access.
With the right spaces booked and a thoughtful plan, one versatile location can offer more visual variety, fewer interruptions and more time to bring your story to life.
